FULL ACCESS 30 Day Play Therapy Technique Challenge for Child & Teen Therapists
Simple to Learn & Create, Low-Cost Play Therapy Techniques Starting on March 1st, 2020
Let's face it: working with children and teens requires some additional knowledge and skills.
Kids are not miniature adults. Working with them in a developmentally fitting way through PLAY and Expressive Arts can be really helpful.
Many of us graduated from awesome mental health programs, had super amazing mentors, supervisors, consultants, and other great supports. We learned A LOT!
Some of us have had INCREDIBLE play therapy trainings from some of the very best. But, yet we still encounter situations that we need a bit more tools in our toolbox.
More kid-friendly therapeutic activities, games, directives, etc. could be put to great use! And, help you get back to the work that you love.
Well, you are in for a treat with the 30 Day Play Therapy Technique Challenge!

There are a few tips that will be helpful to keep in mind as you complete the challenge:
- Schedule it! This is my number-one tip for people who struggle to find the time to do something extra. It's so worth it! Most of these techniques take less than 5 minutes each to learn/create, it's important to make it a priority.
- Adapt it to your work! Create your own, unique "toy box" of play therapy techniques to increase your impact as a child/teen therapist. In the videos that I created for each technique, I give you step-by-step instructions to make it easy cheesy- and ACTIONABLE. Make it your own, though--something that you will actually use with your clients! Practice it with friends and family to get familiar and comfortable with it.
- Share it with fellow therapists! Let's grow together! Brainstorm ideas on adaptation to fit your setting and help the clients that you help. Since some of the best techniques are created out of necessity, get thinking about what your clients' needs are!
- Do it! Dive-in each day for the 30 days. Each one takes only a few minutes to learn, create, or whatever, so commit to taking action. It's really satisfying, when you can see that your clients are benefiting from your willingness to grow and your dedication to their mental health wellness.
Imagine, you are in session with a child or a teen client working through feelings, thoughts, somatically held emotions, and such. Your client is processing through some tough stuff, learning ways to cope and calm experientially, engaging in the therapeutic process in a way that is developmentally appropriate for them - through your PLAY Therapy techniques/activities/games.
